| Just checking in real quick. I'm bored at work and thought I should give some attention to the good ol' xanga site. Not too much going on in my world. Richard is getting ready to move into a new place. That's a bit of a sudden change. Apparently he just got really fed up with his roommates. He just started looking for a place, and aims to move in the next couple weeks.
I leave tomorrow for a fun-filled trip to Madison, Wisconsin for the weekend. Woo! Going to a bunch of drum corp stuff with my dearest Jon Lane. Jon/Jenny road trip #2. I'm excited. I think the two of us should continue this trend and have at least one road trip per year. I'll make sure to post about how the trip goes.

| Ok, so it's been like 4 months or so since I've even looked at xanga. Sorry about that. Hmmm.....interesting things to talk about...not so much thinking of any right now. I have a new job since I last wrote. I'm working at CD Tradepost here in Lawrence. Good times, good times. I like it. I'm still dating Richard. Still managing the Agent 5 Nine guys. Umm....yeah, I'm super tired right now, I simply can't think of anything worth while to say. Basically, I just wanted to check in. Hope everyone is doing well. | | |

| i'm afraid that i've been sucked in by the whole MySpace thing. grrrr. and i think my roommates hate me. well, maybe not HATE me, but certainly don't like to hang out with me. only one of them ever really makes any effort to include me in things, and i think one of the other ones straight up avoids me. oh well, i may be left out a lot, but at least we aren't at each other's throats. (knock on wood...so to speak)
I gave up meat for lent. not in the religious way of not eating meat on fridays...or whatever those crazy catholics do. i just gave up meat all together. and no, this does not mean that i have crossed over to the dark side and become involved in religion, it has just become a bit of a habbit to give up something for lent each year. some people do the whole "new year's resolution" thing to break bad habits or make a change in themselves, but that rarely ever works. i see lent as kind of a way of forcing yourself to change...for at least a month, if nothing else. last year i gave up coffee, and let me tell ya, it was for the better. i drink a lot less coffee now. granted, i don't see myself turning into a full-time vegitarian after this, but i bet it will take out a lot more of the red meat from my diet. then again, i didn't really eat much meat before this either. oh well, whatever.
for those of you who care, there is potentially a party at my place on friday. i'll be in touch about that though. | | |
| not really a whole lot to talk about. well, to be more accurate, there isn't much that i can think of at the moment that would make for a good entry.
still looking for a job. finally got my resume mostly together though.
semi-looking for a new place to live in the fall. i will gladly stay where i am now, but idealy i would like to find a place that is just a little bit cheaper and will allow pets. (i want a kitty so bad!) however, the odds of finding a place that fits this description and isn't a total shit-hole, that my friend, is very hard to do. on the other hand, there is this AMAZING 6 bedroom house that would be only $50 more per month. it has a spiral staircase!!! damn me and my being poor! (but i think 5 roommates would be a little too much anyways.)
the Agent 5 Nine guys had their first show since i've taken over as manager last night. good show. they played at El Torreon in KC with local ska kids Raging Hormones, and touring bands Zolof, Gym Class Heroes, and June. all of the bands were great. i suggest looking into all of them. Also, the guys have a show coming up on this thursday at the Boobie Trap bar in topeka. everyone should try to come out for the show! i do not know the band that is playing with them, but they are called Brighton Line...if that means anything to you.
well, i think that's about it for me. i'm gonna go and attempt to look into this whole "my space" thing that everyone raves about. later kids. | | |
